Switzerland Tourism India recently conducted exclusive destination trainings in Kochi (31st Mar 2026), Thiruvananthapuram (1st Apr 2026) and Kanpur (9th Apr 2026) for a total of over 170 representatives of the Indian outbound travel trade across the 3 cities.

He explained that relying solely on traditional B2B partners is not sufficient to tap the full Indian outbound market. Seth noted that partnerships with airlines, banks and loyalty programmes can help reach new customer segments, including VFR travellers and independent bookers. By diversifying distribution strategies, attractions can enhance visibility, improve accessibility and drive higher penetration among Indian travellers.

Southeast Asia continues to lead demand for India’s Buddhist circuit, while Europe and North America remain largely untapped, said Ahmad Maaz, Managing Director, Royal Tours Group.
