Rail Europe has strengthened its international distribution strategy through a new integration of its European rail offering into the technology platform of Juniper Travel Technology, making it easier for travel agencies and OTAs to sell rail within their existing booking flows.
The market achieved 64% occupancy, ₹8,624 ADR (+8.6%), and ₹5,522 RevPAR (+10.8%).
IndiGo Airlines has stated that all necessary operational, rostering, and monitoring arrangements are being put in place to ensure full compliance with the approved FDTL scheme with effect from 11 February 2026.
Speaking about the opportunities AI offers, Hari Ganapthy, Co-Founder, Pickyourtrail, says, “While I understand that the narrative is travel agents will have existential threat, I think this is the best time to be a travel agent. You will soon have one or 10 company travel agents doing 50–100x of what was possible before. Generic itineraries are already coming out of Large Language Model (LLM). We see it at Pickyourtrail, but we all know that the itinerary is not the product – the fulfilment is.”
Referring to the new visitor levies in the UK, WTTC says that its research has consistently shown that travellers are becoming increasingly price sensitive, particularly in a weaker economic environment.
Dismissing reports of “lakh-plus standard room tariffs” during the AI Impact Summit, the Hotel Association of India (HAI) has said that the average room rates were between ₹40,000 and ₹60,000 per night and that most inventory was pre-contracted, with limited luxury suites driving higher quoted rates. The HAI team also met Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Tourism & Culture, over the issue.
