The Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Chapter of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) is taking the opportunities of the first few Unlocks in the state to conduct its first physical event on October 31. Sharing details of this is Hemendra Singh Jadon, Chapter Chairman (MP & Chhattisgarh), TAAI. He says, “We organised our annual members meet on October 31 at Crescent Spa & Resort just outside Indore for about 40-50 members, keeping all health and safety protocols in mind. The aim was to not just conduct our annual meet but also to build confidence among our clients that we are ready to travel. How can we assure them that it is safe to travel now unless we do?”

The team posted live from the resort from their social media handles so that the message could go across to the travellers. Jadon adds that the event had two key presentations for the members. “We have invited the Assistant Director from MSME Department, Government of India, to talk about the benefits of MSME for travel agents as there is still some confusion about that. We also had representation from Star Air India airline to inform us about the new routes, etc.” Star Air India has started operations from Indore to Kishangarh near Ajmer, and from Indore to Belagavi in Karnataka.

Jadon adds that a lot of agents in MP, including his own agency (Overseas Travels), who used to focus on outbound are now selling domestic packages.
