Skal International Bombay celebrates Dussera, welcomes new Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai

Skal International Bombay brought out its colourful side with members dressed in their traditional finery at its Dussera party held in Mumbai recently. On this occasion, Skal International Bombay extended a warm Mumbai style welcome to Pierre-Emmanuel Brusselmans, incoming Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai. The event was co-hosted by Visit Brussels, along with delegates from Atomium & ADAM Brussels Design Museum, Mini Europe, who were happy to network with an audience of Skalleagues from across the tourism industry. The Skal International Bombay team made sure to showcase the diversity of Indian culture through a warm tutari style welcome, aarti tikka and garlanding, and a pashmina shawl to their guests. Attendees were seen showing each other their favourite dandiya moves, in a special garba session organized for the event. The evening was supported and initialized by Joseph Fernandes, Aviareps, also a member of the Club.

The Skal International Bombay was also honoured to welcome a delegation from Visit Britain, who joined the Club in celebration. Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Marrott, Director, Events & Programming, Skal International Bombay said, “Skal International Bombay’s continued focus, is to help members and guests professionally network and celebrate together – bringing alive the Skal International motto of ‘Doing Business Through Friends.”
