Le Bristol Paris marks centenary with commemorative book celebrating French art de vivre

Le Bristol Paris has marked its 100th anniversary with the release of a commemorative volume published by Flammarion, celebrating the palace hotel’s enduring legacy and its status as a symbol of the French art de vivre. Titled Le Bristol Paris – Ode à un Art de Vivre, the 240-page book traces the evolution of the legendary property on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, from its founding in 1925 by visionary entrepreneur Hippolyte Jammet to its elevation under the Oetker family from 1978 onwards.

Authored by Laure Verchère, the book highlights the craftsmanship, haute gastronomy, and personalised hospitality that have shaped the property’s reputation over the past century. Verchère, known for previous works including Le Grand Hôtel et le Café de la Paix and Thomas Bastide Design, pays tribute to the heritage and timeless elegance that have made Le Bristol Paris an emblem of refined Parisian living.

Available from 5 November, the book captures the atmosphere of a palace recognised for its excellence, with an aesthetic that balances history, discretion, and attention to detail — qualities that have defined the guest experience for generations. Le Bristol Paris – Ode à un Art de Vivre is available for €75 at the hotel’s boutique and in bookstores.
