A global consortium of travel & tourism businesses, Eastbound Group designed and executed a surprise charitable initiative to bring Christmas cheer to over 300 kids at Govt. Primary School in Bhangel, Noida on 24 December 2019.
Employees from Eastbound’s four offices in Delhi NCR joined hands to raise funds for the kids and play the role of Santa by delivering winter wear, stationery, soft toys, cookies, chocolate and other goodies to the kids who were left ecstatic with joy.
When it comes to CSR, Eastbound Group is an old hand. The organisation is known to be exceedingly eco-conscious and meticulously monitor its carbon footprint. As a market leader in the area of sustainable tourism practises, its in-house ‘Responsible Business’ team has drafted and implemented best practice policies on tourism regarding the environment, local communities, wildlife, volunteering and more.
Amit Kishore, Co-founder & Director at Eastbound Group said, “At Eastbound our commitment towards being a socially responsible organization is consistent. While Christmas is the perfect time to rekindle the joy of giving and sharing, this fundraising activity is not just a once off festive gesture but another rung on the ladder to our CSR goals.”
Prrithviraj Singh, Co-founder & Director at Eastbound Group chimed in, “When it comes to CSR it does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. We understand that every bit counts and it is crucial to stick to a roadmap of ‘giving back’ to enable a mind-set shift. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at eventually change.”
Manish Pratik, Co-founder & Director at Eastbound Group concluded, “It is a matter of great pride and achievement when you can practice what you preach. As a company we strongly advocate ‘positive social impact’ to our customers and it’s heart-warming that every Eastbound employee signs up to that ideal. We are most excited to be entering the new decade with a reinforced spirit of goodwill and social responsibility.”
This gesture by EB Group was aimed at injecting a little cheer into the lives of the less fortunate kids who are also the future of tomorrow.
