Boutique hotels have emerged as a captivating choice for discerning travellers. With a growing preference for immersive and experiential journeys, tourists are now seeking accommodations that offer more than just a place to stay, they crave unique experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Boutique hotels are capturing the interest of travellers. With a growing inclination towards experiential travel, travellers are eager to spend more to experience more. Conversations with several hotels at BRIDGES by RARE, which showcased over 45 owner-run, small hotels from the RARE Community, revealed a common trend: almost 90% of the guests are seeking more immersive experiences and boutique properties for average stays of 3-4 nights.

RAAS Hotels boasts a diverse portfolio across India, with properties in Jodhpur, Jaipur, Nimaj, and Udaipur, each offering a unique experience. Catering to predominantly European clientele, these hotels see a high influx of inbound guests, with an average stay of 3 days in city hotels and 2 days in camps. With 40 suites available, they also serve as sought-after wedding destinations, with event capacities of up to 120 people.

Meanwhile, MANVĀR Kumat, Thar Serenity Camp, nestled in nature, attracts both domestic and international visitors, with luxury tents spread over 10,000 square feet. Offering a serene ambiance, they cater to shorter stays and smaller weddings, with a focus on personalized experiences like nature walks.

Karan Mahal in Srinagar, once the Maharaja’s palace, exudes heritage charm with its 100-year-old property offering 10 luxurious rooms. Hosting guests mainly from Bombay, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad, they can host intimate events and diverse cuisines.

Further afield, properties in Ladakh offer boutique experiences, with cultural tours and wellness activities, while Glenburn in Darjeeling and Kolkata provides city tours and event hosting for up to 100 guests.

Shreyas Yoga Retreat in Bengaluru is a haven for wellness enthusiasts, attracting a mix of international and domestic guests for longer stays. Cabo Serai in Cabo de Rama stands out for its eco-conscious approach, offering a blend of luxury and sustainability, with pet-friendly accommodations and a focus on weekend getaways from major cities.
