Khao Lak Beach, Khao Lak: With just an hour’s journey from Phuket, the Khao Lak Beach features a great mix of small-town charm and views of a beautiful beach. This long sandy beach is backed by numerous palm trees and offers scenic sunset views. The beach is also a popular spot to take walks as well.
Sunset Beach, Koh Lipe: Among the three main beaches of Koh Lipe, the sunset beach is a laid back and peaceful beach, which guarantees perfect views during sunset in particular. Situated in the northern part of the island but facing west, the area is quite popular for snorkelling and scuba diving.
Klong Prao Beach, Koh Chang: A scenic beach located on the central area of of the west coast, Klong Prao Beach is the longest beach and offers plenty of option for great Thai food in the village near the south end of the beach. There is a great choice of high-end luxury resorts by the sea, with some backpacker bungalows and guesthouses thrown in, as well as mid-range resorts or small hotels at the southern end or inland.
Ao Nang Beach, Krabi: The popular mainland beach of Krabi, Ao Nang beach and its vicinity are definitively worth a visit with scenic cove featuring sandy stretch dotted with sea caves and towering limestone formations above.
Sairee Beach, Koh Tao: Spread up the west coast, Sairee Beach is the longest beach on Koh Tao. The 1.5 km long beach is a busy beach in the area where most people stay as it’s close to all the best things happening. Many people visit Koh Tao to go diving, so all the best diving shops are located along Sairee Beach. It is also a popular place for sunbathing.
Ao Tapao beach, Koh Kood: One of the island’s best beach and home to resorts and restaurants, the Ao Tapao beach has powder coral sand, on a background of magnificent coconut palms. With a lot of stay options nearby, the beach area has a wide array of shops and diners up by the main road.
Long Beach, Koh Lanta: Offering Thai-style bungalow and chalets set on stilts, Long Beach, Koh Lanta is surely the ultimate lazy beach destination in Thailand — you’ll find great beaches, sunsets and food. It’s a 10-minute drive from Saladan village and the ferry port and so easily accessible. Because Long Beach has a wide, uninterrupted view of the horizon, it makes for spectacular viewing.
Haad Rin Nok, Koh Phagan: Extremely picturesque beach which by day is full of sun worshippers and in the evenings, full of nightlife, the Haad Rin Nok Beach is only one of three white sand beaches that lie on the west coast of the Haad Rin peninsula. It’s broad shoreline gently curves to form a perfect cove flanked by smooth volcanic peninsulas with the sun rising right in the middle of the bay.
Lamai Beach, Koh Samui: On Samui’s southeast coast, Lamai Beach provides a quieter alternative to bustling sister beach Chaweng. The deepest water is found along the southernmost section of the beach. Swimming on Lamai beach is another option for and it’s great in the hot Koh Samui weather.
