TezJet launches direct Delhi–Bishkek flights, strengthening India–Kyrgyzstan connectivity

TezJet Airlines begins weekly direct services between Delhi and Bishkek, opening new opportunities for tourism, aviation trade and cargo movement between India and Kyrgyzstan.

Indian travellers are increasingly drawn to destinations that offer nature, affordability and cultural depth — and Central Asia is fast emerging as a preferred choice. TezJet’s launch of direct Delhi–Bishkek flights taps into this growing demand, creating a new entry point for holidaymakers while offering the travel trade a fresh destination to build into their outbound portfolios. With adventure tourism, cinematic landscapes and simplified visa processes driving interest, the new service strengthens a corridor that has long held potential for the Indian market.

A new link supporting travel demand

TezJet Airlines officially begins its direct Delhi–Bishkek service, marking a milestone in India–Kyrgyzstan air connectivity. Operating once a week, every Sunday, the route offers a convenient short-haul option for travellers seeking landscapes, heritage and adventure experiences outside traditional circuits.

Kyrgyzstan — often described as the “Switzerland of Central Asia” — offers alpine lakes, dramatic mountain ranges and vibrant nomadic culture. Locations such as Issyk-Kul Lake, Bishkek’s bazaars and the country’s cinematic valley routes appeal strongly to leisure travellers, adventure seekers and India’s growing film tourism market.

Inaugural ceremony marks the new beginning

The inaugural flight ceremony at Delhi Airport brings together representatives from the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan, GMR Airport leadership and senior aviation officials. A lamp-lighting ceremony, festive check-in zone, passenger greetings and a cake-cutting moment mark TezJet’s first departure from India.

Airline leadership on the significance of the route

Mr Arun Kumar, President & CEO, TezJet, says: “We are thrilled to see our Delhi–Bishkek service takes off. This route represents not only a new flight but a new bridge connecting two vibrant regions. India is an important market for us, and we look forward to welcoming Indian travellers to experience the beauty and hospitality of Kyrgyzstan.”

Aeroprime Group to build TezJet’s India presence

As TezJet’s General Sales Agent in India, Aeroprime Group will drive passenger and cargo sales, support marketing and ensure operational alignment.

Mr Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director & CEO, Aeroprime Group, says: “The commencement of direct flights between Delhi and Bishkek will unlock immense opportunities for tourism and business, bringing the people of India and Kyrgyzstan closer together.”

Outlook for the trade

The route strengthens access to an emerging region, diversifies outbound options for agents and offers new cargo opportunities for India–Central Asia trade. With traveller interest shifting toward nature-led, experiential short-haul destinations, TezJet’s entry positions Kyrgyzstan as a strong contender for India’s next wave of travel discovery.
