Warsaw to Washington D.C on LOT

Effective 2nd June, LOT Polish Airlines will launch a new route from the Polish capital and Star Alliance hub Warsaw to Washington D.C. operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner in a 3-cabin configuration.

A direct flight from Warsaw to Washington D.C. has long been on our “short list”. During extensive business analyses, we focused not only on connecting the capitals of Poland and the United States, but also on the tourist and business potential offered by this connection which has been growing year by year. Moreover, so far Central and Eastern Europe has lacked such a convenient connection to Washington D.C. New long-haul flights to the USA are the backbone of our strategy and announcing the new connection to Washington now certainly is not our last word – says Rafał Milczarski, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines.

Washington is home to the administrative and government units in the United States, as well as to many of the world’s largest companies. Moreover, the Washington catchment area is also an attractive tourist destination.

LOT operates over 120 routes around the world. In 2019 LOT carried 10 million passengers, one million more than in the previous year and as many as 5.7 million more than in 2015.

Passengers from India can seamlessly connect to the new Washington flight via Warsaw (transit times between 65 and 75 minutes depending on day or week). Schedules have been loaded on all sales channels.
