Visitor visas for the United Kingdom will be issued exclusively as eVisas starting 25 February 2026, marking the country’s transition to a fully paperless immigration system. The move replaces physical entry clearance vignettes with digitised verification for travellers.
The shift is aimed at enhancing national security and improving operational efficiency across the immigration process. With the introduction of eVisas, applicants will no longer receive physical visa stickers, as verification will be conducted digitally.
