Tourism Malaysia, in collaboration with Sheeraz Tours, hosted a promotional evening in Lucknow to strengthen engagement in North India. The initiative reflects continued focus on regional markets, targeting premium and corporate travellers to drive demand ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.

Tourism Malaysia and Sheeraz Tours organised a “Visit Malaysia 2026” promotional event in Lucknow on Saturday, 5 April 2026. The event brought together over 170 corporate and premium clients from Lucknow and nearby regions of Uttar Pradesh.

The initiative aimed to position Malaysia as a preferred outbound destination for Indian travellers while strengthening trade and consumer engagement in emerging markets.

Cultural showcase and destination promotion

The evening featured a cultural performance by the Tiungmas Arts troupe from Malaysia, highlighting the destination’s heritage and traditions. This was followed by a destination presentation showcasing Malaysia’s tourism offerings across leisure, luxury, culture, nature, and shopping.

Guests were also introduced to Malaysian cuisine through a curated dining experience, designed to provide a comprehensive preview of the destination.

The event served as a platform for networking and interaction between stakeholders, helping to enhance awareness and build interest in Malaysia among high-potential travellers.

Industry participation strengthens outreach

The event was attended by key representatives including Ahmad Johanif, Director, Tourism Malaysia (Delhi), and Poonam Nautiyal, Marketing Manager, Tourism Malaysia.

Other attendees included Sameer Sharma, Associate Director UP & Uttarakhand, IndiGo Airlines, and Deepak Khare, State Head UP, UK & Rajasthan, Air India, reflecting airline participation in destination promotion efforts.

From Sheeraz Tours, S M A Sheeraz, Managing Director, Sheeraz Tours, Hina Sheeraz, Director, Sheeraz Tours, and Aman, Product Head, Sheeraz Tours, were present at the event.

Driving engagement through experiential elements

The evening also included a lucky draw, where three couples won Malaysia travel packages, aimed at driving consumer engagement and interest in the destination.

The initiative underscores Tourism Malaysia’s strategy to expand its footprint beyond metro cities by targeting regional markets with high outbound potential.

By combining cultural experiences with direct engagement, the roadshow reinforces Malaysia’s positioning as a diverse and accessible destination for Indian travellers ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.
