During a panel discussion at the Travel Wedding Show, C Srisailam, Director, Rise Advertising, said, “South India is definitely a cost-effective market compared to North India, and the variation can be around 15–20 per cent. The infrastructure, hotels, and venues are all available, but the biggest gap is promotion.” He added that stronger collaboration with governments and tourism departments is needed to position Tamil Nadu and South India as serious wedding destinations, while social media and digital promotions are already helping attract more wedding inquiries.
