Singapore Airlines is expanding its Middle East network with the launch of non-stop services to Riyadh, strengthening connectivity between Southeast Asia and Saudi Arabia. The new route reflects growing demand for direct links to one of the region’s fastest-evolving business and administrative hubs.
Singapore Airlines will launch four-times weekly non-stop flights between Singapore and Riyadh from 2 June 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. The service marks the airline’s return to the Saudi Arabian capital and will become the SIA Group’s second destination in the Kingdom.
The flights will be operated using the medium-haul variant of the Airbus A350-900 aircraft, configured with 303 seats across two cabin classes, including 40 seats in Business Class and 263 seats in Economy Class.
Flight SQ498 will operate from Singapore to Riyadh on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the return service SQ499 operating on the same days. The services are scheduled to commence on 2 June 2026, with timings adjusted for the northern winter schedule later in the year.
Commenting on the launch, Lee Lik Hsin, Chief Commercial Officer, Singapore Airlines, said, “Our return to Riyadh comes amid its thriving business environment and ambitious development, which make it one of the Middle East’s most dynamic cities. Beyond a new destination, this service will potentially allow us to work with our partners to offer our customers additional travel options across the region.”
Riyadh will complement Scoot’s existing four-times weekly services to Jeddah, further strengthening the SIA Group’s presence in Saudi Arabia. The capital city serves as the Kingdom’s administrative and financial centre and offers a mix of heritage attractions, modern infrastructure, and a growing hospitality landscape.
Tickets for the Riyadh services will go on sale progressively through Singapore Airlines’ distribution channels, subject to regulatory approvals.
