India’s travel economy is no longer emerging — it is asserting itself as a global force. At a time when outbound demand is accelerating, domestic travel is deepening, and technology is redefining distribution, SATTE 2026 returns as the industry’s most influential convergence point for policy, partnerships, and progress.

The 33rd edition of SATTE — South Asia Travel & Tourism Exchange — will be held from 25–27 February 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Organised by Informa Markets in India, the exhibition is expected to welcome over 45,000 trade professionals and more than 2,200 exhibitors from 60+ countries, representing upwards of 3,200 global brands.

Anchored around the theme, An Opportunity Called India, SATTE 2026 positions India as the fastest-growing demand market in the global tourism arena.

A pan-India marketplace reflecting travel’s new reality

SATTE 2026 will bring together international destinations, tourism boards, airlines, hotels, technology providers, policymakers, and travel buyers across leisure, corporate, MICE, weddings, cruise, luxury, and experiential segments.

The exhibition reflects how India travels today — diversified, regionally distributed, and increasingly influential. India welcomed 20.57 mn international tourists in 2024, surpassing pre-pandemic levels by 14.85%. At the same time, outbound demand continues to grow steadily across leisure, corporate, and destination-led segments, underscoring India’s importance as a source market.

With the domestic travel market projected to reach USD 125 bn by 2027 and the sector expected to contribute nearly 10% to the country’s GDP in the coming years, SATTE 2026 returns as a comprehensive B2B marketplace aligned with the scale of India’s growth.

Policy, infrastructure and industry alignment

Central and state government participation will form a key pillar of the event. The Ministry of Tourism will lead discussions around Tourism Vision 2047, while confirmed state participants include Goa, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Telangana, and Punjab.

Policy-led sessions will address aviation and air-route expansion, convention and MICE infrastructure development, sustainable tourism, destination management, and public–private collaboration.

Conference highlights include sessions such as Travel Titans: Inside the Winner’s Mind, Reimagining Incredible India!, India: The Next Travel Goldmine, From Hype to Habit: How AI Is Reshaping Global Travel, Decoding Affordable Luxury, India’s MICE Readiness, Scaling Tourism Through Communities, LCCs as Game-Changers, Why Food Is the New Passport, and Agency-Led Growth in the Digital Era.

The edition will also feature a special address by Anita Mendiratta, Special Advisor to the Secretary General of UN Tourism and Founder of ANITA MENDIRATTA & ASSOCIATES, bringing global policy and destination development perspectives to the Indian stage.

Global participation and technology focus

International representation will span the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and APAC, with destinations including Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, Jordan, Egypt, Hong Kong, Nepal, Jamaica, and Vietnam participating.

Travel technology will be a central focus, with platforms such as EaseMyTrip, Cleartrip, TBO, and TRIPJACK showcasing AI-enabled planning, mobile-first booking solutions, and data-driven systems. India’s online travel market, currently valued at USD 25.38 bn, is projected to reach USD 38.58 bn by 2031, with over 65% of bookings taking place via mobile platforms.

High-growth verticals including MICE, destination weddings, cruise tourism, and experiential travel will also feature prominently. India’s wedding tourism market alone generates over USD 72 bn annually, with destination weddings accounting for nearly 25% of the segment.

Building on the momentum of 200+ business announcements and 23 formal MoUs recorded in the previous edition, SATTE 2026 is expected to deliver stronger outcomes through expanded hosted-buyer programmes and deeper collaboration with associations including SEPC, PATA India, TAAI, TAFI, OTOAI, ETAA, ADTOI, and ATOAI.

Yashobhoomi as a future-ready platform

SATTE 2026 returns to Yashobhoomi, India’s largest integrated convention and exhibition centre, purpose-built for high-volume international trade events. With advanced infrastructure, seamless connectivity, and upgraded digital systems, the venue supports three days of structured, outcome-driven engagement.

As India’s tourism ambitions scale, SATTE 2026 aims to reinforce its role as the definitive platform where India meets the world — and where global tourism aligns with the opportunity called India.
