Highlighting stronger air connectivity between India and the Philippines, Verna C. Buensuceso, Undersecretary for Tourism Development, Philippines, said, “In 2025, with the introduction of visa-free for 14 days and the direct connectivity offered by Air India, we have registered a 33% growth rate.” On routes, she added, “For Air India, we started out in October with five times weekly. And then in December, we made it a daily flight, now that we’re here in 2026, we would like to also explore having double daily flights.” She further noted, “We’re also looking at other airlines to fill in the gap when it comes now to a huge demand that we are anticipating for travel to the Philippines.”
