According to HVS Anarock, Mumbai and New Delhi continued to command the highest room rates in the country. They also remained the highest occupancy markets in the country, with occupancy levels in the range of 77–81%. Ahmedabad recorded the strongest year-on-year occupancy growth (10–12 pp) among key Indian hotel markets in April 2026, driven by sustained performance, indicating steady underlying demand despite market-level divergence. Gurgaon, Jaipur and Mumbai registered year-on-year declines in occupancy of 3–5 pp, suggesting temporary demand normalisation following stronger performance in the previous year.
