Liberty International Tourism Group hosted its 2026 Annual Meeting in Mumbai, marking 35 years of operations while reinforcing India’s growing positioning as a global MICE and experiential travel destination. The gathering brought together global partners to engage in business discussions and immersive cultural experiences.
Liberty International Tourism Group convened its global network in Mumbai in March 2026 for its Annual Meeting, bringing together partners, members, and industry leaders from across continents. The multi-day programme combined business sessions, cultural immersion, and a post-meeting familiarisation experience.
The meeting opened with a traditional havan ceremony at Gagangiri Temple, attended by Mario Enzesberger, Founder & CEO, Liberty International Tourism Group, along with his family and the Liberty India team. The ceremony marked the company’s 35th anniversary and set the tone for the event.
Mario Enzesberger, Founder & CEO, Liberty International Tourism Group, said, “Thirty-five years in this industry teaches you that no network is stronger than the relationships within it. What we celebrated in Mumbai was not a number, it was the people who chose to build something with us.”

Experiential format highlights India’s diversity
The programme was designed to move beyond conventional meeting formats, with sessions hosted across diverse venues in Mumbai and Alibaug. A sales workshop was held at The Clearing House, featuring a dabbawala-style tiffin lunch, followed by a ferry transfer across Mumbai Harbour to Soulinarie in Alibaug for a full-day workshop and cultural experiences.
The General Session on Tuesday, 17 March was hosted at Eros Cinema, where delegates were welcomed with themed experiences, including a Kathak Rockers performance. A key highlight was a panel discussion titled “The Great Indian Paradox”, featuring Shobha Rudra, Founder, RARE India, and Himmat Anand, Founder, Snowfox Escapes, offering insights into India’s positioning as a global destination.
Gala dinner underscores legacy and resilience
The meeting concluded with a gala dinner at Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. A defining moment of the evening was an address by Hemant Oberoi, former Executive Chef, Taj Mahal Palace, who shared his experience during the 26 November 2008 terror attacks, offering a powerful reflection on resilience and hospitality.
Prashant Yadav, CEO, Liberty India, said, “Hosting this network in India was a privilege and a statement. India is no longer an emerging destination; it is a destination that is ready, confident, and genuinely world-class.”
The event also included a familiarisation programme that provided international delegates with deeper exposure to India’s cultural and experiential offerings.
As Liberty International Tourism Group enters its next phase, the company aims to expand its global portfolio of over 120 destinations, while strengthening cross-market collaboration and responding to evolving trends in the global travel industry.
