Korea Tourism Organization has strengthened its India outreach with roadshows in Delhi and Mumbai as Indian arrivals to Korea continue to grow. The initiative highlights the destination’s focus on trade partnerships and premium travel segments to drive higher visitor numbers from India.
The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) hosted tourism roadshows in New Delhi on Wednesday, 12 March and Mumbai on Thursday, 13 March 2026, engaging with the Indian travel trade to promote Korea’s tourism offerings and new initiatives.
The roadshows introduced key programmes for 2026, including the Korea Premium Travel Consultant (KPTC) programme and the K-Incentive Scheme 4.0. These initiatives are designed to support travel agents in developing curated and high-quality travel experiences for Indian visitors.
India continues to emerge as a high-growth source market for Korea. The destination recorded close to 200,000 Indian visitors in 2025, reflecting a 13% increase over the previous year. Globally, Korea welcomed nearly 19 million international visitors, surpassing its annual target.
Trade initiatives to drive premium travel
The K-Incentive Scheme 4.0 encourages travel agencies to design Korea-specific itineraries that include destinations beyond Seoul, such as Busan, Gangwon State, Jeollanam-do, and Gyeongju. Selected partners will receive visa facilitation support, promotional assistance, and performance-based rewards.
The Korea Premium Travel Consultant programme is aimed at travel agents specialising in luxury travel. Through structured training sessions, the initiative equips agents to create premium itineraries featuring five-star accommodation and high-end Korean experiences. The first webinar under the programme is scheduled for Sunday, 23 March 2026.
Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director – India & SAARC Countries, Korea Tourism Organization, said, “India continues to be an important and high-potential market for Korea’s tourism industry. We are encouraged by the steady growth in Indian arrivals and the increasing interest among travellers in Korea’s culture and experiences.
“Building on this momentum, KTO aims to welcome around 270,000 Indian visitors in 2026, while continuing to support our travel trade partners through initiatives such as the KPTC programme and K-Incentive Scheme 4.0.”
The roadshows form part of KTO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with Indian travel partners and expand awareness of Korea’s diverse tourism offerings, with a focus on premium, experiential, and multi-destination travel.
