ITDC and Mizoram join hands to build hospitality skills and strengthen tribal tourism livelihoods

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has partnered with the Government of Mizoram to advance hospitality skill development and capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s community-based tourism ecosystem.

During a meeting with Lalduhoma, Chief Minister, Mizoram, Mugdha Sinha Managing Director, ITDC, discussed opportunities to equip local communities with industry-relevant hospitality skills and create tourism-led livelihood opportunities.

As part of its collaboration with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, ITDC’s IHM Ashok is currently training 1,500 tribal homestay operators across India to improve service standards and support sustainable growth of tribal tourism destinations.
