In line with this strategy, Canareef Resort Maldives has appointed INTLXPOS Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. as its exclusive representative in India to expand its engagement with the travel trade and drive visitor growth.

Canareef Resort Maldives has named Mumbai-based INTLXPOS Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. as its official India representative, marking a strategic move to enhance its visibility and market penetration across one of its fastest-growing source markets.

Located on Herathera Island in the Addu Atoll, Canareef Resort Maldives features 271 villas and is positioned as a leisure destination offering a combination of luxury accommodation, privacy, and natural surroundings. Through the partnership, INTLXPOS Enterprises will be responsible for promoting the resort among travel agents, tour operators, and travellers across India.

The appointment comes at a time when the Maldives continues to witness sustained interest from Indian travellers, who remain among the leading visitor segments to the island nation. The collaboration aims to strengthen trade relationships, improve market awareness, and generate new business opportunities for the resort.

Focus on trade engagement

Under the agreement, INTLXPOS Enterprises will undertake sales, marketing, and representation activities to increase Canareef Resort Maldives’ presence within the Indian travel trade ecosystem.

The company has established a portfolio of international tourism and aviation partners and currently represents brands including 7South Seychelles DMC, Arisu South Korea DMC, and Sun PhuQuoc Airways in India.

The partnership is expected to facilitate stronger engagement with travel advisors and tour operators while supporting booking growth from the Indian market.

Strengthening Maldives presence

India remains an important outbound market for the Maldives, driven by demand for leisure holidays, weddings, honeymoon travel, and premium island experiences. Resorts across the destination continue to invest in dedicated market representation and trade partnerships to capture a larger share of Indian outbound traffic.

Commenting on the development, Gopal Agarwal, CEO and Managing Director, INTLXPOS Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., said the appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on representing international tourism brands and strengthening their footprint in the Indian market.
