India recorded 9.02 million Foreign Tourist Arrivals in 2025, according to provisional estimates in the Ministry of Tourism’s Annual Report 2025–26. Foreign Exchange Earnings from tourism stood at INR 2,73,638 crore, underscoring the sector’s strong recovery. The figures reinforce inbound tourism’s strategic role in driving trade-led growth, strengthening external revenue, and enhancing macroeconomic resilience nationwide.
