Tourism ties between India and Spain continue to strengthen, with Indian visitor expenditure maintaining an upward trend. Data from Spain’s National Statistics Institute (INE) shows total spend by Indian tourists rose 2.6 per cent during January–August 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Average spend per traveller increased by nearly 11.5 per cent in 2024 to €2,608, as stated by FITUR. The Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism said the India–Spain Dual Year 2026 will focus on diversifying travel flows and promoting sustainable tourism.
