The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) will host the second edition of its Knowledge Series in Mumbai, focusing on regulatory updates impacting the hospitality sector. The initiative aims to equip industry stakeholders with practical insights on compliance amid evolving policy and operational frameworks.
The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI will conduct the second session of its Knowledge Series on Friday, 10 April 2026 at The Mirador Hotel, Mumbai. The full-day programme is designed to address key regulatory and compliance-related developments affecting the hospitality industry.
The session will cover topics including the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, GST updates, Labour Codes, and Tourism Policy. The initiative aims to help hospitality professionals better understand and navigate the evolving compliance landscape.
Focus on regulatory clarity and industry dialogue
The Knowledge Series is positioned as a platform to bridge information gaps and provide clarity on regulatory frameworks. It will feature expert-led sessions, panel discussions, and interactive Q&A segments to offer actionable insights for industry stakeholders.
Ernst & Young continues as the official knowledge partner for the series, supporting content delivery and expert engagement. Following its inaugural session in Pune, the series is planned to be conducted monthly across western India.
The programme is tailored for hotel owners, general managers, compliance heads, restaurateurs, and senior hospitality professionals across the region.
Expert-led sessions across key areas
The session will feature speakers from Ernst & Young, including Abhijit Parab, Partner – Cybersecurity, Ernst & Young, who will address the DPDP Act and information security.
GST-related updates will be presented by Akshit Saraogi, Director, Global Trade and Customs, Indirect Tax, Ernst & Young. Sessions on Labour Codes will be led by Tarun Pandey, Partner, Risk Consulting, Ernst & Young, along with Siladitya Dasgupta, Director, Risk Consulting, Ernst & Young, and Anshul Shukla, Director, Risk Consulting, Ernst & Young.
Nikhil Padhye, Senior Manager, Tax & Regulatory, Ernst & Young, will cover developments in tourism policy.
