Clarifying the medical tourism proposal in the Parliament session, Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister, said, “Any state can aspire to be a part of the planned medical facility, wherein all the aspects of medical education, hospitals for treatment can be focused in one area, and that will become a medical tourism hub. So any state can qualify, especially those which have traditional strength. This includes going through the AYUSH route as well. This will become a center of multi-purpose, multi-specialty allied health service center.”
