A new leadership chapter is set to begin for Rajasthan’s hospitality and tourism industry, as the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) puts in place its management committee for the 2026–28 term, signalling continuity, consensus, and a renewed focus on sector-wide advocacy.

The Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) concluded its Annual General Meeting on 8 January 2026 in Jaipur, during which the General Body unanimously elected the new Management Committee for the 2026–28 term.

Shri Surendra Singh Shahpura was elected President of FHTR, while Shri Tarun Kumar Bansal was appointed Secretary General. The unanimous mandate reflected strong unity among members and confidence in the federation’s future direction.

Immediately following the elections, Shri Surendra Singh Shahpura outlined the committee’s priorities, saying, “I am deeply honoured by the trust reposed in me by the members of FHTR. Together with the newly elected team, we are committed to strengthening Rajasthan’s hospitality and tourism sector through innovation, collaboration, and constructive engagement with all stakeholders. Our focus will be on inclusive growth, policy advocacy, and positioning Rajasthan as a leading tourism destination globally.”

New executive leadership team

The newly elected executive leadership team includes:

  • Senior Vice President: Rajendra Singh Pachar

  • Vice Presidents: Gyan Prakash and Mahendra Singh Rathore

  • Treasurer: Rajendra Singh Jodha

  • Joint Secretary: Hemant Mittal

Founder Member Shri Bhim Singh continues in the role of President Honour of FHTR, providing guidance and continuity to the federation through his experience and long-standing association.

Founder members and managing committee

The Founder Members of FHTR — Kuldeep Singh Chandela, CA Virendra S Shekhawat, Rishipal Singh, Khalid Khan, Sunil Gupta, Ajay Agarwal, Ms Aditi Singh, and Angad Deo Mandawa — remain part of the Management Committee, contributing institutional memory and strategic direction.

The newly elected Managing Committee Members also include Satinder Pal Singh, Deependra Rana, Shailendra Singh, Manish Bhatia, and Jitendra Singh Rathore. Ms Madhuwanti Singh was present at the meeting.

FHTR reiterated its commitment to serving as the unified voice of Rajasthan’s hospitality and tourism industry, working closely with government bodies and industry stakeholders to promote the state’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential at national and global platforms.
