ATTRACTIONS

Kissimmee and its neighboring theme park capital are set to deliver unforgettable experiences in 2026:

SeaWorld Orlando will debut SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep, a groundbreaking suspended family dark ride. Guests will embark on a submersible adventure through immersive underwater ecosystems, blending storytelling, education, and thrilling visuals.
LEGOLAND® Florida Resort will launch Galacticoaster in early 2026 — the world’s first indoor, family-friendly space-themed coaster and the largest investment in the resort’s history.
Walt Disney World Resort will introduce several new experiences:
- At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be reimagined as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, combining high-speed thrills with Muppet-style humor. The park will also debut The Magic of Disney Animation, a family-friendly experience inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios.
- At Magic Kingdom Park, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will return with upgraded tracks, enhanced effects, and new storytelling elements.
- At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Zootopia: Better Together will replace It’s Tough to Be a Bug! at the Tree of Life Theater with a new 4D family show.
Old Town Entertainment District, Kissimmee’s iconic destination, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026 with special events and nostalgic experiences honoring four decades of family entertainment.

ACTIVITIES & EVENTS

The inaugural Florida Children’s Book Festival will take place from February 20–22, 2026, at Orlando Family Stage in partnership with Writer’s Block Bookstore. The three-day celebration will feature Storytime sessions, creative workshops, author signings, character meet-and-greets, and interactive panels.
Opera Orlando unveils its 2026 MainStage season at Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts:
- Silent Night – February 6 & 8
- The Merry Widow – April 24 & 26
- A Decade of Divas – May 16
  All performances will feature English and Spanish translations.
Build-A-Bear Workshop will open a new multi-level flagship store at ICON Park in 2026, offering its signature experience with new interactive and personalized features.

Experience Kissimmee, in partnership with Atlas Obscura, has launched the Latin Culinary Trail, an immersive food journey showcasing 20 handpicked restaurants, cafés, and food trucks celebrating Osceola County’s rich Hispanic and Latino heritage.
Celebrating over 120 years of heritage, Columbia Restaurant continues to serve its signature Spanish-Cuban cuisine across Florida, preserving family traditions and timeless recipes.
Kilwins® Celebration introduces Dubai-inspired chocolates for 2026, including pistachio-filled Buckeyes, Dubai-Style Sundaes, and the upcoming Dubai Du’lights.

TRANSPORTATION & CONNECTIVITY

Iberia Airlines launched four weekly non-stop flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Madrid on October 26, 2025, marking Orlando’s first direct connection to Spain.
ZIPAIR Tokyo will launch non-stop flights between MCO and Narita International Airport (Tokyo) in February 2026, creating Florida’s first direct air link to the Asia-Pacific region.
