India’s aviation expansion has been driven by deregulation and entrepreneurial spirit, said Anshul Sethi – Head of Sales, India, IndiGo. He noted that the ecosystem grew because airlines were allowed operational flexibility, enabling survival and scale. While UDAN has expanded connectivity, fare caps and route viability must be assessed holistically to ensure sustainable regional growth.
