City of Dreams Sri Lanka and Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts have partnered with FitsAir to introduce direct Ahmedabad–Colombo flights, strengthening connectivity from Gujarat. The move reflects growing outbound demand from the region and positions Sri Lanka as a short-haul luxury destination for Indian travellers.
City of Dreams Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, and Walkers Tours have partnered with FitsAir to launch direct scheduled passenger flights between Ahmedabad and Colombo. The service will commence from Thursday, 15 May 2026, operating three times a week.
The initiative aims to enhance accessibility for travellers from Gujarat, a key and growing source market for Sri Lanka. The new route is expected to support both leisure and MICE travel while strengthening tourism exchange between the two regions.
FitsAir, Sri Lanka’s first private international airline, will operate the route, offering improved connectivity and convenience for Indian travellers.
Strengthening Gujarat as a source market
The launch reflects increasing outbound travel demand from Gujarat, supported by strong cultural ties and an established travel trade network. The direct connection is expected to position Colombo as a preferred short-haul destination for Indian travellers seeking premium experiences.
Travellers will have access to a range of hospitality options across Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, including Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, Cinnamon Grand, Cinnamon Lakeside, and Cinnamon Red. The offering also includes curated holiday packages combining Colombo with destinations such as Kandy and coastal regions.

Ahmedabad–Colombo: 10:45 – 13:55
Colombo–Ahmedabad: 23:25 – 02:35
Colombo–Ahmedabad: 06:30 – 09:40
Specially curated travel packages start from INR55,555, including return airfare, a two-night stay with breakfast at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, and private airport transfers.
