Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield has appointed Flavius Chettiar as Director of Operations, reinforcing its leadership structure in a competitive corporate and leisure hospitality market. The appointment underscores the hotel’s focus on strengthening operational performance, service benchmarks, and long-term commercial growth in Bengaluru.
Flavius Chettiar takes charge of overall hotel operations at the property, where he will oversee cross-departmental coordination, enhance service delivery standards, and align operational strategies with brand objectives.
With over 15 years of experience across luxury hospitality brands, Chettiar brings expertise in food and beverage strategy, large-scale operations management, and team leadership. Most recently, he served as Director of Food & Beverage at The Westin Mumbai Garden City, where he drove departmental profitability, enhanced guest satisfaction scores, and introduced new dining concepts across multiple outlets. His portfolio included Seasonal Tastes, Prego & Pronto, Eighteen Lounge, Kangan, in-room dining, and banqueting operations.
Earlier, he was Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, managing operations at the 350-room property. At Trident Bandra Kurla under Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, he progressed through leadership roles including Food & Beverage Service Manager and Banquet Manager. He was also part of the pre-opening team at The Oberoi Marrakech, assisting in setting up F&B systems and training teams in alignment with brand standards.
An alumnus of the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, Chettiar has achieved high mystery audit scores and led award-winning dining concepts while fostering high-performance teams.
