Women now account for 33% of intercity bus travellers in India, up from 23% in 2019, according to the redBus Pink Report. The study also found women’s bus travel has surged 136% since 2019, outpacing overall passenger growth of 72%, driven by Gen Z travellers and increasing participation from Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns.
