Rajan Kalra, Director Sales, Suba Group speaks about strengthening their presence in the leisure and wedding segment post their acquisition of 1589 hotels in July this year.

The Suba Group started operations in the mid-nineties with its first hotel in Colaba, Mumbai. With the remarkable success of Suba Palace in the south of Mumbai, two more hotels, Suba Galaxy and Suba International, were set up in Andheri, the western suburbs of Mumbai. This expansion followed in the cities of Gujarat like Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Dahej.

The legacy of Suba Group is carried forward, under the able guidance of their Managing Director Mansur Mehta. In 2015, they started a young brand, Click Hotels with budgeted accommodations for business travellers and expanded with additions of hotels at Junagarh, Bhuj, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Jaipur and the most recent one in Nasik.

In July 2021, Suba Group acquired 1589 Hotels which added over 30 hotels, with the majority of the portfolio located in leisure destinations. The company today manages over 50 hotels and resorts over 30 destinations under the Suba, Click, Clarks Collection, Clarks Resort, Click Collection, GenX and RnB brands.
